My little daughter and I have gotten so much enjoyment out of this thread, thought we would add some faces of our own! Between our 4 indoor cats and the neighbors 5 in/outdoor cats we have a total of 9 little kitties to love. Here are a few of them:

This is Hobbes, He is 15 and has escaped death many times. The deformation in his face was from surviving being hit by a car in his first year of life. He ended up with a split palette that leaves his sinus cavities open to foreign materials getting in there. Most of his life he has been ok, he just sneezes about 35 times a day although, now, in his old age he has to visit the vet for help & and an antibiotic shot now and then. He has also lost both of his front fangs (one in the accident and one, last year, from having a poor dental plan) so his tongue just kinda hangs out:

This is Balou, Hobbes' 3-year-old adopted sister. Hobbes and Balou have little use for each other and mostly ignore one another. Balou must take some kind of exception to photography, because if I am outside taking pics around the neighborhood, she will make my life harder by sitting on, rolling around on, or batting away my subject. She has also been known to jump on my shoulder and bite me on the head while I am setting up a shot:

Can't say as I blame her, especially not the declawed. :cry: I wish declawing were illegal.Well, in the month that we've had her, I've found her hanging from the second level of our house (she tried to take a short cut by going from the second level to the stairs by way of squeezing through the banister, but she couldn't fit); she's climbed (and scratched) the wooden wall unit trying to catch our caged bird that was on the top; she's scratched the leather couch (even though she has a perfectly good scratch tower); and she's swiped at the clueless dog (in defence) and our other cat (more playful, but still potentially dangerous, since they don't always get along). She will be an indoor cat with outside privileges once we can trust her not to run away (our other cat, Ping, roams the backyard terrorizing birds and critters, but is also happy to simply sit on the deck and soak up the rays). But I still feel sorry for Malai.

Did you find that IS lenses make a big difference in your photos?

Well I've never used a non-IS lens before but it seems to help. For me at least, since my hands can be pretty shaky.

Tyson, very friendly cat but also very nervous. Walk past her food dish while she is eating and she often runs away. Also, what on earth is in those cat food pouches, she rarely eats tinned food now, mainly pouches, she loves them. If you stop stroking her, one of her paws slowly moves towards you until she gently digs her claws in to let you know to keep going. She is a total attention seeker, but we love her.

I love my cat Luke too. If I rub him the wrong way he might attack me and draw blood, but I love him anyway. He's just a total kitty cat, just being himself. I wouldn't want it any other way.

Wow, some amazing pictures of some amazing cats! Really wonderful! Geo's neighbors black longhair cat looks like a long haired version of our Panthy, haha... wow!

Eitherway, currently we have a little visitor come to us at night, although he decided to show up today, too, for a little afternoon nap. He's probably one of the cutest lil' guys we've ever encountered, passionately cuddly, haha. Just amazing...

We've decided to call him Vicky, after Victor, since he was victorious in sneaking into our hearts. :-D

Aaaahhh What a cut cat that is... And I say yes sometimes it's harder to take photos when they get older....but that keeps you fit. :D.

lol thanks guys, yeah she is a whiner and those last pics she was running around in the backyard and she got tired and started panting like a dog lol. I set up this nice little table with a cloth that was strategically placed where the nice sunset lighting would be and she would not stay on that thing longer than two seconds. so then I just chased her around in the shade hoping to get at least one good shot lol

While we're on the subject of cute kittens, meet Muffin, my latest feral rescue. She and her brothers were about 4 weeks old when I caught them. A friend fostered them for a couple of weeks, and we found homes for all but her. She was too adorable to let go, so she ended up back with me.

It's hard not to smile when that little furball is on my head purring. It gets hard to see sometimes when she stretches her paws over my eyes though! I've had to clean the glasses numerous times thanks to her.

I always feel so bad for out kittehs when the upchuck bug bites. :(Usually, it's because she gulps her food down when I get home. Weirdo only seems to like to eat when I'm home.

What you mean it's a nice weather, my Misty didn't seem to agree with me. She normally doesn't make a sound unless she is afraid......like going outsite or to the vet...:lol:.
