One of our girls, Ginger.

Ginger was a stray that walked into our yard one day a few years ago & set up camp in our garden. She (yes a female ginger) moved onto the front veranda that first winter & then slowly into the house. She is a full time indoor cat now as something got her about 5 mths ago & we've been fighting feline Leprosy ever since.

You don't need God to help with a JPG. Just go to Image -> Adjustments -> Levels, select the white eye dropper and click on a white/neutral section of the photo. It's almost as easy to correct WB on a JPG as it is a RAW...

I dunno, everytime I've try to correct WB on a JPEG I get weird colour shifts. Maybe it's because I never shoot jpeg and the jpegs I've tried to correct WB came from Nikon shooters :D

Hang in there, the new one will respond to kindness - but maybe you'll have to keep her alone for a little bit.Thanks, and yes, we're keeping Reya away from our other two Siamese cats until she becomes accustomed to us, although they have all met her. The person we got the cat from gave several stories, ie it was a stray, he's allergic to it, etc. I think he treated the cat poorly and someone forced him to offload the poor thing, hence it's skittishness, especially around me (a male). But, we're used to dealing with basket-case Siamese .... she is our fifth Siamese we've had.

Long fur and lots of black on a cat that doesn't like to be held, meant we just didn't see them. Five year old indoor cat, who'd have thunk it? She'd never had a flea before in her life. Poor baby.

We're 90% of the way to be flea free again.
