Love that expression. I can tell that Gizmo is really into kissing. He is probably thinking, "Who are you? I've never seen you before in my life." At least that is how our cat Daisy acts -- her limit on letting us hold her is about 15 seconds.

This is just one of my four kitties. Her name is Maddie and she is the most photogenic. She's a gorgeous cat with a sweet, albeit neurotic, disposition. The first shot is my all time favorite. She stepped into the most beautiful light one morning. I only got off a couple shots and of course I was fumbling all over myself because the light was every photogs dream. Of course, she moved rather quickly, but I did get this. Wish I'd gotten her whole body, but what can you do. Cats don't pose on your terms.

When we went on holiday to Kefalonia last year, there were (as usual in Greece) lots of cats around. Some of them looked pretty thin, so we bought a huge bag of cat biscuits from the local shop and most evenings after dinner we'd go out distributing them. I enjoyed trying to photograph the cats. They weren't ideal subjects because (a) they were mostly quite shy; (b) they mostly only came out after dark, so I had to use the flash all the time; and (c) once they saw the biscuits, they weren't interested in posing!
