agreed ;) I have 4 beautiful children... I STILL find myself pointing my camera at one of my 4 kitties when I get a new lens or camera instead :o
They don't complain about endless test shots. Like this guy, he just sat there in his basket and rolled around while I was shooting him. ;)

lol! When my partner and I first met, we would finish each others sentences alot of the times, so if we were in the middle of a conversation and we felt like the other one was going to say the same thing.... we would just say ditto -- and then when we got our first place -- our little (at that time) ditto came into our life!

It's the now discontinued Sigma 14MM on the 1D4. I already had a 14L but picked the Sigma up fairly cheap so I could do some comparisons. Obviously I found out the MFD is much shorter than Sigma specified so I'm having a hard time deciding to part with it, the very close MFD can make for some wild perspectives especially with kitties.

That kitty is up to no good! One of mine has recently decide my router and switches is a good place to nap, not good since they can overheat with the vents covered with cat.
haha...no, she just loves being around people, and I don't mind a little company while I'm editing photos...as long as I can see the screen ;) I opened up my PC case the other day to give it a clean, it's amazing how much hair can get in there (even though a couple of the fans have filters). You might want to open up your router and switches (if you can) every once in a while to blow out some of the hair!

Thanks. I'm always breaking them up because the dog (the bigger of our 2 at 70-75 lbs) looks like he's going to kill the cat (the smallest of our 3, at 10 lbs) So I pick up the cat and take him out of the room. About 2 minutes later I see him stirring stuff up with the dog again. He likes playing with him. That dog is a gentle giant kind of creature. I can't get a ball out of his mouth, but he'll let my 18 month old take it without flinching and then follows her around patiently waiting for her to drop it.

I don't know if you access to Animal planet Channel on cable TV. There is an extra ordinary program of a 6 foot tall honey heart musician that is expert in the reconditioning and training of Cats that for any reason are creating problem for themselves. And on episode was exactly this situation. Sorry if don't have all the detail to pass it but to say the least have wall steps that are like book shelfs, going up and make it towards a steady place like top of a cabinet or decorative wall. So that if bad goes to worse, at least this sweet thing has a shelter to remain safe. Also the trainer emphasis that Cats are not to left on the floor where they will down themself develping low self esteem. Give it a hight and this kitty will surely do better.

OMG!! Looks like we have identical cats. LOL!
Our oldest is just about 2 years and he's a big fella (not local breed) around 15 pounds. The second one is really skittish but she wakes up in the wee hours of the morning and after a few trips up and down our pillows wants to sleep with either me or the wife under the covers. And you dare not move... or them claws come out :p

If I were to up the ISO, wouldn't that make the photos a little bit grainier? It really bugs me seeing even a slight amount of grainy-ness in any of my photos. I'll give it a shot and see how i like it though! Thanks!

My default ISO setting is 800 and I seldom have noticeable noise. I use a lower ISO when the light is good or I'm using a tripod.
The basic tradeoff is noise vs. camera shake. You can fix noise, you can't fix blur due to camera shake at too low a shutter speed.
Try higher ISO settings and see what you think...
