Mia by mvos18, Very clever lighting in the photo. I thought I saw the whiskers move, but had to go back and look again. Looks so realistic.

Thanks guys. Makes it hard on the wife because we still have way too many and it's little kitty season. It sounds a little harsh but we have to wait for some of the older cats to move on, though we have a lot of land ten was difficult during periods of bad weather when they were all in the house.

Nope, I can guarantee no relation there. I adopted Kosmo from a rescue group almost 8 years ago. Gizmo was a neighborhood feral rescue found in my garage 4 years ago. My Junior is his half-brother.

Junior was my first feral rescue 5 years ago. I trapped him in the daylilies in my backyard. Junior & Giz had the same mom but different dads. Mom didn't make any more kitties after that season. Trapped, spayed, & released. That began my campaign against the feral population in my neighborhood. Since then I've helped over 28 ferals just around my house. 4 still visit regularly to get fed, 3 I consider I've officially adopted (Jr, Giz, & Muffin), and 4 more that I consider to be fosters since I would still love to find homes for them. They're not the most people friendly of cats though.

Very nice!! My Tailspin was feral when we got him, kept him caged in the living room for weeks with no hiding spot and only hand fed him, he's such a smoosh now. But if anyone comes over they don't even know we have him.

Her brother, Loki, is a tad more camera shy. I had to do a little trickery and shoot from the hip (so to speak) to get this one.
The camera was on the floor, and I angled it to him. Once he heard the focus servo kick in, he looked at the camera. When he heard the shutter, he scrambled away.

Not my cat ... some day I will have one! Instead I'm friends with the neighbour's cat. He's so loud - he just meows and meows and meows. Sometimes when I'm in my room of the second story of our house with my window open I can hear him meowing! He is very sweet though.

Since I destroyed his pillow cave for a recent round of overnight guests, Max has started burrowing under the quilt on the back of the couch - it takes some work and planning, too, since he has to go down into the windowsill behind the couch, then up under the quilt and onto the back of the couch from there.

How do you tell them apart?

Lenny enjoys his kibble a bit more than Carl, so he has about a pound on his brother. Hard to tell in photos, but pretty easy in person. They each have pretty unique personalities as well. I'm lucky that they get along so well.

RIP Jack the cat
He was the most badass "little" guy. I'm going to miss him hugely...

Two days ago I noticed that he was acting strangely, lounging around a lot more than usual. So I made a vet appointment for him yesterday. Came home from work yesterday to take him and he was gone.. The Vet figures it was a blood clot.

Crissa... those EYES!! They're so amazing on a kitty. I've never had one with such blue eyes.

Jack was a nice looking cat. It's really odd that one day they seem fine and a couple of days later they're gone. Sorry for your loss.

My other cat seems to be doing alright with the change. I had her for about a year before I got Jack, so I'm hoping she doesn't mind being solo too much.

Maybe she doesn't mind. My Misty loves being the solo cat now. After sharing 15 years with 3 others. Her "brother" died this year and she is feeling fine even found her voice......:-). Take care.
