Hello all,

My goal is to study Av and Tv settings and understand the effects on photo's. I have years of experience with point and shot type of cameras, both digital and 35mm, but the G1 is my first experience with full control. Please look at this photo taken at Av 7.1! What settings would you try a change and what effect would you be trying to capture?

Thanks,
ERIC F.

Nice spot.

I don't know what settings I'd use, but I sure would like to

- study the glowing transparent water and riverbed at the low right corner of the photo. Maybe frame it so that the the waterfall is actually not the main subject but the swirl and glow of water (at sunset?).

- The "shadows vs. water" is a thought what might develop some interesting photos.

- Get closer to the dripping water and the moss ( macro shots)

- Do up to down shots, moss level shots, flash shots...

- Wait for "non normal" weather (fog, dusk, dawn, rain...)
