Says Phoebe from what I can make out from the bird books. Caught this friendly insect eating bird while visiting the local marsh in Carlsbad. I hope you enjoy, it is a new bird to me.

Ah, nice. I have yet to see one. We have plenty of Eastern Phoebe here but would love to see a Says Phoebe.

Ah, nice. I have yet to see one. We have plenty of Eastern Phoebe here but would love to see a Says Phoebe.Thanks Rebel, we have the Black Phoebe which are very common. I will have to shoot it next.

Dennis, I'm impressed with that takeoff shot! The feather spread is neat. It would be easy to add some canvas in front and below the bird and recrop accordingly...

Yeah, I see what you mean, but with such a smooth and unicoloured sky it would still be relatively easy to rework. But it is still a nice photograph as is and I would be quite happy with it!

Cute little fella done well.I was at the end of my hike and had sat down. This little bird, who didn't seem to mind my being there, just went on doing it's bug catching thing. Thanks for taking the time to comment.
