SanDisk Extreme III vs Ultra II; write speed

Hello all,

Don't know if I am in the right section of the forum to post this question. I am looking for a CF card for my 20D (going to arrive today :)). I checked out Extreme III with Min 20MB/second sequential read and write and Ultra II with Minimum of 10MB/second sequential read speed. My question is that will 20D be able to write at the speed of Extreme III or it will be just a waste of money to get Extreme III? Thank you.

Also, Extreme III 1GB is having a $20 rebate and found one for $79.99 after rebate. (shipping extra)

I today ordered the Ridata pro 150x sd and 80x CF 2gb cards from newegg.com for $236 including 3 day shipping. U might want to ck into those...some of the Moderators swear by them, this is why i ordered them for myself.

AS you will note, extreme III will make a small difference, but not a huge difference on a 20D over an Ultra II. It then becomes does that small difference worth the difference in price.

It will make a small difference with the 20d but I bought a new ESP cardreader from Sandisk and get anywhere from 16-18Mb/sec. download to the computer. My old Sandisk reader only got 2-3Mb/sec. downloads. If faster download times to the computer is worth it to you, then the Extreme III is worth the price. It also can handle more extreme temperatures and G force.
