Hi All

Looking for some advice regarding a suitable bag to hold a 20D and a Canon 300 F2.8

Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Tamrac Expedition 8? Only thing I can think of that's long enough and deep enough to suit that baby. Surely you have other things to put in there as well.

Lowepro 650AW: http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Shoulder_Bags/quick/Stealth_Reporter_650_AW.aspx

With the hood reversed the 300mm f/2.8L lens will stand upright in the bag - no problem.

Plenty of room for more kit as well... body, couple of lenses, flash etc...

The alternative is a long lens bag, where you can leave the camera attached to the body with the hood in place ready to go.

I use one of these when I'm just carrying a body and long lens with a few accessories: http://www.lowepro.com/Products/Backpacks/allWeather/Lens_Trekker_600_AW.aspx

Thanks for the response - will research into the suggested bags - have also thought about the LowePro Toploader AW75

Ronald unfortunately I feel that there will be more bits to go into the bag but I'm trying to keep it as lightweight as possible - trying to avoid frequent visitor status at the local rupture & chiropractise clinics

Rick - wow!! what a generous and charitable offer - if only the world had more people like you - the only concern I have is that I might not like the colour of the bag!

Another excellent source for long lens cases/bags is Kinesis:

I've got one of their tripod cases which is light, extremely well made and definitely built to last.
