I could not understand that. Why RAW file is containing an embedded JPG file? What is advantage of that? If, I work with RAW format, why a need JPG?

The idea of the embeded JPEG in the RAW file is to enable you to quickly show the image. After all not every computer has the necessary software to view RAW files but all can show JPEGs.
This means that you can shoot in RAW for later manipulation to get the best possible quality for (say) printing whilst having the ability to use the JPEGs to create a slideshow on CD without having to convert all the RAW files first.

Or..for instace, when putting your pictures in an dB. Then youll just extract the jpegs and use them as thumbnails in your dB.

I've recently started shooting RAW on my 10D and end up with a CRW and THM file (no JPG), how do you easily view the JPGs

The embedded JPEGs require Canon, or other software, for extraction.

The THM file is the thumbnail used for the LCD and computer file explorer viewing.

IMO the JPEG in-camera processing settings and embedded JPEGs in RAW offer great flexibility. I can quickly extract JPEGs for use on the computer and have the RAW file "negatives" for Photoshop work prior to printing. The JPEGs also offer a convinent way to get "mini-Lab" prints or direct from camera inkjet prints.
