I picked up one about 10 to 11 months ago from lightimpressions, and I'm not terribly fond of it. It's not a bad one, it's just not what I'm currently looking for. Plus, their sheets to hold the photos, while high quality, did not have any kind of seal at the bottom and therefore the photos would slide out all the time. Currently, I'm using a $7 8.5x11 picture holder/portfolio that I got from a local hobby shop. Now, it does the job, but it doesn't look very professional. And, as we all know, when just starting out, the look of business cards, letterheads, and even portfolios can sway someone toward letting them be photographed by you or push them away. The more professional looking, the better...at least until you've got a set of photos, business, and a great attitude that all stands on its own.
This is what I currently have from Light Impressions (http://www.lightimpressionsdirect.com/servlet/OnlineShopping?Dsp=20200&PCR=30000:180000:182000:182400). And, while it's not bad, I'd prefer something that didn't have a zipper...and maybe it's just that I don't know how to use the pages, but something that had a sealed bottom so the photos wouldn't slide out would be nice.
I spent probably a half hour doing google searches this morning and just didn't find what I was looking for. What I would prefer is more just like a leatherbound book that will hold about 16 to 20 photos. I don't want the portfolio case itself to detract from the photos, but at the same time, I do want it to look very professional...not like a nylon folder with pages I picked up from Hobby Lobby.
Anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks
