Need feedback on this shot. Its soften in ps and some color fix's. Have I made an improvement?

Why does the first one look like that - did you forget to switch out of tungsten white balance? :)
Yes, it is a nice improvement in colors. The soft focus adds a nice touch, too.
I like the other work on your site as well. Keep posting!

Big improvement. Nice. I think the brown/red of the wood is a bit over done though. I would desaturate it a little.

oooo, the enhanced image is sooo much better!
although I'd be curious about what mpaul said, you might've given too much life back into the rotting wood ;)
but on your soften filter, did you soften everything? or just the background, because I think that the stump/wood formation shouldn't've been softened (it's a bit hard to tell their softness-levels when the online images are so small!)
