... with IS on, can you take handheld night- or lowlight shots with let's say 1 sec. exposures? What's the minimum shutter speed you can take with IS on and still get a steady shot? Just wondering.

My understanding is that it give you two stops. So, if you needed 1/250 without IS, you could go 1/60 with it.

BurningArrow,

Hmmmm, shopping for premium L-IS Glass huh? So, what are you buying?

It is your turn Fez up? Man, I was maybe trying to buy a 10D quietly but, oh no, you wouldn't let me.

NiL,

Frederique, when you post the sale of your G3 on the G3 forum, I think it'll REALLY be hard to conceal the fact that you are seriously considering buying a 10D. :)

Anyway, hope you get your wish and soon!

LOL hey don't blame me, you're the one who gave yourself away by putting up that ad :)
But it's funny though, we all seem to get each other so excited and fired up to upgrade or expand :)
This forum is costing us money, it's the most expensive forum I've ever joined! LOL

I already have the 28-135 IS USM and I kinda sorta already decided to get the 17-40L and the 70-200/f4 L
So for the next 5 years I will be only eating dry bread and drinking water .....................
No L-IS glass yet .....

And how about you??
