Very nice picture. Was this the framing on the original or was it cropped? I little wider might be nicer (but then again, maybe not).

The original was much wider. I had a hard time deciding on a crop. I ended up liking this but some might do it better.

mpaul, here are my 2 pennies :)
First, I like the shot and the "softness" theme.
My concern is that there isn't much DOF. Was this an extreme macro shot? If there was more DOF, this to me, would be a very artistic shot.

Hi Tim
The lack of DOF was intentional Photoshop work ...the original was totally sharp. I guess it just comes down to what you prefer and feel works best at the time. Some like it this way and some don't ...I guess it just proves that there are no right or wrongs when it comes this sort of thing? Thanks for thoughtfully commenting!

I can apprieciate the lack of DOF, sometimes I feel that DOF is over done, The image is purely monotone you could try experimenting with addings some subtle tonal differences
