View Full Version : Images hidden on disks?

I'm probably missing something obvious, but I recently unloaded my disk by drag-and-drop to a PC hard disk.

When I put the disk back in the camera, it said there were no images. At the same time, it said I had room for only four more shots.

There seem to be folders on the disk that may be holding images but I can't figure out how to open them, much less create them and manage them.

Thanks very much for insights on this problem.

The disk is formatted and when formatted it takes some space. If there are invisible files or folders, depending on what operating system you use, you need to change the file/folders options to view Hidden Folders/Files which if you are using a Windows product (98, 2000, ME) you want to open My Computer, Tools, Folder Options, View, then the option to show hidden files.

I had the same and found that when you delete images - either on the camera or via the pc - it does not remove them and clear up the space behind them.

This is exacerbated if you delete images as you are taking them - the camera software does not free up all the space to be re-used.

The solution is to re-format once you have saved all your images.
