Help with FVU Raw Conversion

I have been using my 10D for about a month. I tried for the first time to convert Raw Files today. I had been shooting jpegs. When I try to convert and save files I get the following error messages: "Following Raw image types contained, unable to save by TIFF @II(16 bit/ch) Raw Image type contained, unable to save by TIFF@II Powershot G1 IS types contained, unable to save by TIFF".
I am able to preview and adjust the Raw images without a problem. I am asking the FVU to convert and save as 8 bit Tiff files to use in Photoshop Elements v.2. I am saving them to a separate folder.
I would appreciate any help as to what I am doing wrong. I installed the firmware update earlier today without a problem. I don't know if that's a factor.

The firmware is definitely not a factor. I am puzzled by the reference to the G1. Did you have a version of FVU installed to run with the G1? Have you updated it to the current version that supports the 10D?

I get the exact same thing. I ignore it and everthing is OK. I attribute it to Win XP and my Toshiba Laptop combo, but I don't know for 100% certainty and never bothered to ask Canon.

I'm anxious to see if others have the same issue or have overcome it.

The FVU is installed on a new Dell P4 3GHZ with 1 GHZ of RAM. No previous versions of any Canon software.
