I am looking for inexpensive space online that actually does a good job of displaying Photography. i am familiar with Flickr, snapfish, etc, i am looking for something geared more toward photographers and displaying their work, like an online gallery or something.
Thanks in advance,
David

I just signed up at smugmug, it's pretty cool, no ads, no spam, and a pretty good interface. Access to full size pics for all, and the ability to customize the heck out of your site. three levels of membership, pro is 100 a year. unlimited storage, reasonable quotas.
use my coupon code if you sign up, you and I both get a discount!

www.pbase.com is great for displaying images. you can't sell prints form there though ... if that's what you are looking for.

I have been considering this too - I assume you can upload full size images but choose to limit the resolution on display in public galleries?

I have a power user account, and I don't see a setting that allows you to restrict the full-size picture from being downloaded if a user chooses to...
So you would have to control this by controlling the size of what you put up there. From a quota standpoint it is 8GB (I think monthly) so that is a lot of downloads, if you need more, go pro. Not sure if pro allows the size DL restrictions..
They do a free trial, so give it a go, there's nothing to lose but the time you invest..

So, I have been with Smugmug.com for a few weeks now, and I can say that even though I get an error at the end of downloads at times, I am happy with the service. I like how you can select from some out-of-the-box themes or completely customize the format.
I think the metrics reports could use some work, but they do tell you what you need to know about picture and gallery downloads.
Overall, a good value. I would recco

Yes... Been there about 3 years now. Its herehttp://www.fotki.com/ventana
It's a mix of web fodder, scans from my slide and film days, G2 digital, and I have one folder dedicated to the 1DSMKII... My folders are all set up differently. Some have Get origina photo enables. Some don't.

DO not use myphotographer.com and clickimage.com
Same company.
They are cheap and that is what you get.
They will never respond to any issues.
My site has been down for no reason and they will not respond to any questions. I am basically paying for nothing.
Zero help.
I have filed complaints against the Cali state Attorney and BBB.
