I am planning an expedition to Chimney Bluffs State Park located on Lake Ontario in New York State. The tentative date for this is Saturday, Feb. 11. Chimney Bluffs are a little jewel located a few minutes east of Sodus Bay. The bluffs are created by erosion of drumlins formed by glacial activity in the most recent ice age. They are constantly changing with time, forming spectacular peaks, gulleys, and spires. The area also offers spactacular sunsets. Winter should also provide for some great photographic opportunities, as the snow and ice build up on the beach can be quite interesting in it's own right.

I am working on a trip plan/info sheet/itinerary, anyone in the area that is interested, PM or email me. This will be a day trip, departing my house in eastern Rochester that morning, and returning that evening. If you are coming from the east, we can set up a meeting place. Time permitting, we can make the quick jaunt to Sodus Point and shoot the lighthouse, too. For anyone willing to make an extended trip, you are welcome to spend the night at my house. I have a few couches and a fouton. There is room for more if you want to "camp out" on the living room floor, next to the fireplace.

So far there are four of us going -three photogs and a videographer.
