Bill,

These look a little underexposed. You have some good action captures, but it looks like they could use a levels adjustment.

Thats quite possible. I got a new monitor for xmas and its very bright so perhaps I need to recheck the histogram. Thanks - i will take a closer look on another monitor.

Yes he DID score. It was a two on one - one time slapshot from the circle. The next shot shows the goalies reaction - sadly i was unable to follow the shot in :(

I shot ice hockey last weekend, was a first time for me, and it was a shoot for sales sort of gig, 42 hours in a weekend of non-stop shooting pretty much...a 300 2.8 is really needed to shoot ambient in a well lit arena, and a min of two strobes to light well for a game...it ws fun, and a new challenge. Hope mine turned out remotely good though...

I've shot a 300/2.8L once but most of my shots ended up too close. Ok if thats the effect you are looking for but i prefer full action shots. For money, most parents just want a good close up of their kid so i can see the value of the 300.

Yeah that is true...they can pretty much get the other shots with a P&S not the same quality but you know...

Cheers,
