Pro 1 firmware w/o USB cable??

Hello and greetings from snow-filled London Ontario!! I normally stay in the EOS forum but I have just been given a nice little p & s camera (Pro 1) which I want to give to my wife......(for letting me buy all the L glass in the past year!). My question is for all you Pro 1 experts.........I do not have the USB cable that lets me connect the camera directly to the computer. Can this cable be purchased (hopefully not only from Canon!!) seperately or is there a way of doing the firmware update without the USB connection?
