Hi Guys! This is my first post here.

Last week I bought a Canon EOS 350D (Rebel XT in USA) so that I can learn about photography and eventually take good photos of Europe and the US when I finally go travelling.

Here's some shots of Brisbane on a Wednesday night.

Please don't be shy with critisism!

I'll post a few more when I get home. (Should be around 6-7 hours away)

Here's the rest from that night. I'll link to the them rather than posting them as embedded images. Also I've resized them further.

great pics mate, are these just with the kit lense, and use tripod? im pretty much doing exactly what u are, saving for a 350D atm to learn and get good shots for a holliday at the end of the year. have fun.

i really like the first photo, something about the lighting and how the shadows are through the windows looks neat

Ospi: That's using the the 18-55mm lens that comes in the single lens kit. Hey are you aussie too?

ClbyLouis: Those shadows don't come from the windows. There's a butt load of spot lights on each side of the walk way and they're positioned to created that weird effect.
