I feel rather self-conscious that the "Throwing my G6 in the trash (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=120321)" thread on the G series board was closed (after going on for five pages) following a post I'd made. Would someone mind clarifying why this thread was locked?

In a way, you just answered your own question. After 5 pages, most everything that could be said had been said, and just about all that was left was the comments by people who were feeling defensive.

The premise of the thread was valid and the point was made. Sometimes, it's best just to move on.
