About 3 months later then planned, my new photography site is up with a good selection of my favorite images.
Feel free to peruse and if you have comments on any of the images (good or bad) let me know. That is part of the purpose of my new site.
The new site is
http://www.longwatcher.com
I added a bunch of new pictures to some of the portfolios.
Thanks,
Tim Dolan

The Sorrel or "Standing Out"
I will have to check the exif data when I get home.
The Sorrel was taken with 100-400L at close to minimum range.
"Standing Out" was with my 50/1.4 at f8 (I seem to remember) and then cropped.
That's all I can remember off the top of my head.
Presuming you clicked on link to get to plants portfolio.
I only have 3 shots I really like and one attempt at trying something "Transition 1" is an attempt to use techniques I learned doing current intel briefs, but so far I don't like the results, but if I stare at it long enough maybe I can figure out how to make it do what I want.
Thanks.
