Can someone with knowledge of the S80 please give me a step by step on how exactly to adjust the white balance? I did it myself yesterday using the manual, but now I can not retrace my steps even with the manual! (How embarrassing and frustrating.) I think it must be set ok because my colors are looking good, but I sure would like to know how I did it to check to see what it is set at. Thanks in advance.

Slide the lens cover to turn the camera on. Then push the FUNC/SET button, a menu will pop up. Move up to the first position with the arrows, then select one white balance preset from there.
In situations where you are uncertain what WB to peek, Just select the AWB(auto white balance)

Thanks a lot Adas. I was in that area of the menu, but somehow I remembered there being just three choices for white balance, so I thought I was missing the correct menu. I think this camara's wide range of manual control is confusing me. I tried right from the begining just sticking to the defaults and Auto mode but that did not work. All my indoor shots of brown colored objects were coming out green, so I was forced to go through the manual to try and correct the problem. It took about three hours of experimenting and this forum to finally realize that the color saturation, as set by the factory, needed to be turned down. That fixed the green problem. I think that this is to much camara for my level of photographic knowledge-(entry level). I had returned my broken SD550 for this S80 because it seemed like a much more sturdy camara. I think I will buy another SD550 and return the S80, but this time not even breath on the LCD screen. I loved the 550 and had no problems with it, until one day I took it out of the case and found that the screen was shot. I think it must be very fragile.
