I've posted this in a couple other forums.

I never did any photography before I got my first Kodak DC215, mostly did P&S shooting right through the DC260 and Nikon 990. Now that I have a *real* camera, I'm getting more serious about photography. I shoot orchids for a client for his web site, do some real estate photography, enough to pay for my equipment. Other than that, it's back yard birding and crittering.

I'm 30 mi west of Richmond and am adjacent to a 4500 acre game management area. I'd like to do some street photography in Richmond, but I don't think I want to do it alone. Are any of you in the area? Might you be interested in getting together for a day of shooting for fun?

My equipment is:
10D
50mm 1.8
28-135mm IS USM
100-400mm L IS USM
17-40mm L

Thanks,
Linda

I am fairly close,
I live in Newport News. About 90 minutes away from Richmond. Which for an international forum is pretty darn close.

That could be fun sometime.
I was thinking about doing that for Virginia Beach or Norfolk area. (Streets in Newport News if exciting are not safe)
Richmond could be good, been there a couple of times and it seemed interesting.

It would have to be a weekend day and probably in early August.

Feel free to contact me via e-mail if you have a good date in mind.

Great! I've added your name and email to my growing little group. So far we have 1 from Charlottesville and 1 from Richmond.

As for a date, we might even want to wait till September if we're going to go to some "interesting" neighborhoods. Don't want the natives too hot and restless. Of course your neighborhood has all the good water fowl.

After this and the thread in dpreview has played out, I'll send a list of people and email addresses to all in the group.
