They finally reopened my favorite part of the museum. It's difficult to take pictures of these things and have them come out compelling, since the best way to appreciate the stuff at the museum is to be there yourself, but I think I did an alright job on these two.

They feel a little "cut off", El. The first one the crop of the top is awkward ... don't know what's below what we can see. Also, the background doesn't separate well from the statue. In the second, the top is also cut off and just seeing the left side of the inscription, even if French, doesn't work for me.

The tonal range is great, but I must agree with what others said about the cropping. It is a bit in the middle, I would opt for a wider view, or go in much closer. I am assuming this is part of some ancient Chinese section, did hey open it in time for the Lunar New Year?
