I like #1 better, but for some reason, I think it would have been more effective if Mom was OOF and daughter was in focus. Very nice use of DOF, though.

Mom out of focus would've been nice shot as well. The only reason I kept mom in focus was I was really trying to emphasize mommy's facial expression. But I can picture it the other way around giving a different feel....something to keep in mind.
