Has anyone use the Tiffen Infrared 87 filter on a D10 yet? If so what were the results? I was also wondering how the Tiffen 87 compares to the Hoya R72 when used on a D10.

I have used my 10d with an IR filter from Harris and Harris (it is supposed to be about the same as a Tiffen RM72 filter). It does work, my exposures were ISO 100 around 4-6 seconds at 5.6, in bright desert sunshine. Here are a couple of examples...

Notice the leaves and grass have turned white. Also, the details in the mountains are much clearer. These two shots were taken about 2 minutes apart, with the only changes being the additional of the IR filter and the adjustment of the exposure for that filter.
And with a little help in Photoshop, you can get a false color image going...
