View Full Version : Brand new, flash not working

I just picked up the 10d USA and had it for about 4 hours. The flash was working and now it doesn't. I've tried everything to get it to work in all modes but I can't. This is a real disapointment for me as I just forked out close to 3000.00 on canon gear, body, lens, batts, grip, Has anyone had this issue with firmware 1.0.1? What a let down, please let me know if anyone has heard of any way to do the almighty god reset on this thing. I"m ready to throw it out the window!

And you have checked that C.Fn 05 is not @ 3 ??

yes, i've tried all settings in CF 5. i've even reset them back to all 0 via factory fresh install..still nada...

Well.. if nothing works then i would claim DOA and request a new camera.

As a last check, do a reset of the camera.

My 550 came dead..only making clicking noises..display ok..then I connected it to the camera and when they talked- all was then ok. Obviously they do a good bit of dialog.
