Don's '66 Chevy BelleAir was that years sleeper. Some people bought it to pull trailers! It has a 427cid engine, Turbo 400 trans, & a 12-bolt 3.73 rear end. He's had it for 2 years.

That's a great car. The 1955-1957 Bel Airs get so much attention, sometimes people forget there are other, better looking Bel Airs.

Especially in that color. Very nice!

Today I got to spot one of these Caddys and give the driver a card of mine. I'd like to photograph one -somehow. It was black and that is supposedly the worst for reflections. I suppose Frank has a perfect photo of one...

Thanks, everyone. It was black and that is supposedly the worst for reflections. I suppose Frank has a perfect photo of one... :D I WISH! :D If I have a choice, I think black & other dark colors look better just because of the contrast & reflections. The trick is to move them to where you get the reflections you want. Here's a few where I couldn't, but they still look "pretty". ;)

Nice, clean, well-preserved car. Looks pretty much stock except for the ignition system & headers. Body style has some similarities to the Novas that came a few years later.

Great example of what a 'sleeper' is! So much so that I almost missed it as it was parked in the back of the lot. One of the guys told me to go & look at it.
