This is Runner, a Female golden retreiver. A natural in front of the camera. Shot with my 10D (which i've only had for a week) at 400 ISO (the dogs were running around right before this shot so i was using the fast iso) and 1/180 at f5.6 with the auto white balance under the shade of a tree. anyways you think i might have been able to improve this in anyway? I really like the shot, but was curious what others thought.

She is a beautiful dog and this closeup portrays a gentle, patient nature. I like it.

you may want to slightly sharpen it (especially the eyes) but I like it. (and I dont like dogs... so that says something)

I like it, and I love dogs :)
I agree about the sharpening. Also, if possible, perhaps lose the bit of tongue in the lower right corner. The entirety of the nose would have been nice too, along with going a little wider on the bottom.

looking at it again, adjust the levels in PS... and increase contrast, that will make it look more "bright" (not sure why I put it in quotes... cause it will be more bright, heh.

I like it also but I agree that a little more of the nose would have been good. Also, either sharpening or just doing a soft focus may have made it even better to give it a dreamy look. One question...what WAS that tongue doing? It looks as though it was ready to lick your hand or the camera! :-)
