This is Ronnie Rae Rivers who was performing in Sydney today as a part of the Australia Day festivities.

I really like the second one. The first one my attention is directed to the text and not on the performers. However, that may have been the idea. HAHA....

Nice picks and thanks for sharing.

The second one is a crop out of the first.

wow - thank you, Dwight. I have looked at a lot of your pictures (and your web page) and I appreciate your comment. You have some beautiful work.

Nice shot, I too like the second image (crop of the first?).

It's a shame the lighting on the stage wasn't more even, because the light on the girl is fantastic, where as the light on the guys is flat and dull, maybe even crop the guy out altogether and do some dodging on the 'hot' reflection off the guitar.

Yeah, the lighting was preset on a public stage for the day - different artists at different times (see the left of the first image).

um - tongue in cheek here - she was doing all the 'work'... so I reckon she deserved the spot... :)

I may try cropping it further to see if I can get something clear and clean with just her - I have several pictures of them playing - these were taken with my brand new 85mm f/1.8 so I am actually pleased I managed to get something in focus with a reasonable depth of field ;)
