My wife bought me the battery grip for my XT, and I am planning on buying a couple of extra batteries from Sterlingtek. I already have two, so this will bring my total up to four.

Does anyone know of a charger than can charge two of the XT batteries at the same time? It would be nice to just unload the sleeve from the grip, switch out the batteries, pop the two used ones into a single charger and be done with it.

I was thinking about this same issue last night. I have not seen a dual charger for the XT batteries.

Hmm, don't know about XT, but I've got one for my 20D. Seems as though there should be the other as well.

Which battery does the 20D use?

BP-511

XT uses NB-2LH

Yea... I was wondering if they might be the same. Well, since we are unable to find a dual battery charger for the XT, I wonder if I can talk my wife into letting me purchase a 20D with grip and extra batteries so I can get a dual battery charger? :D

is there a cord you can plug into the xt then into an outlet at home? I'de like to have that instead.

I know that there is a power cord for the XT when doing photo transfers and other things like that, but I am not sure if recharging technology is built into the camera itself.

i believe the power adapter takes place of the battery so now its just running off the power provided by the power supply which supplies 7.4v ..
there's no way to charge the battery in camera..i believe.

Now there's an idea I can get behind! :D

Bummer about no dual charger for the XT, though. :(

I thought about it but they charge so quick for me it's not an issue to do one at a time, the cost of another Canon charger was not worth it

that link is to a charger for Rebel/300D batteries, not Rebel XT/350D Batteries.

It says BP-511 battery and 20D supports BP-511 as well as BP-511-A.
I don’t own 20D, this is according to DPReview.

XT uses NB-2LH, that's another story.
