I need some help from you pro's out there:confused:
Iwould like to scan my old color negatives with a Dimage Scan dual IV.
You have to make a Job Selection that encludes -
1. custom
2. colorLaserPrinter
3. photosenstive
4.ink-jet 7 dye-subprinter
5. photo cd
6. web page
7.screen
8. doccument
9. film recorder
10. digital camera image size
11. default
I'm trying to get the finest quility but when I print the pics on a canon i9900
there is a lot of grain . I hope someone can help me ???

Have you tried doing scans and varying the settings to see what happens?

I have not sure about the IV software..but it should be the same. You can use GAIN to reduce some of the grains. After that you can use Noise Ninja or Neat Image to "smooth" out the grain.

What type of film are you using? you'll find that 400+ iso film gonna be really grainy when scanned.

Those are just settings that refer to the final use of your scan, and relate to the scan resolution. You probably want the highest resolution available. ( "document", if I remember correctly)
