Hello all,
I have recently picked up an EOS 20D for my trip over to England and France, I was wondering what lenses would be good for normal shooting I was looking at maybe the Sigma 70-200 F2.8, what other lenses have other people taken with them on trips, My price range is around $1500AU
:) :) :)
Thanks

the 70-200 might be a bit long, and will definitly be a bit heavy and large for a walk around lens. how much is that in us dollars?

ATM one USD = 0.75 AUD
I'd advise a 85mm, and a 10-22zoom?
...assuming he has a 50mm or kit..

Another one I was looking at was the Canon EF-S 17-85MM f/4-5.6 IS USM Lens

How about just a Sigma 24-70 f/2.8EX DG Macro, an EF-S 10-22, and a 70-200 f/4L? 10-200mm sounds nice for travel, no?

What are people's thoughts on the Sigma AF 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro Lens?

A very nice, reasonably priced competitor for the 24-70L ($350 or so as opposed to the L's tag of $1100+). However, being a 24-70L owner, I'm very biased. I've tried all of the alternatives, but I'm hooked. In your case, however, you would benefit more from the variety of lenses in your travels.
