and we spend hundreds of dollars on food and they always seem to prefer &*$%#

One day I was sitting on the park hill and noticed that my maltese was chewing on something. I reached down to pull it out of his mouth and noticed it was a $50 bill!! Sadly it was the one that he had pulled out of my own front pocket.

Dallas is amazed at the clarity of my new TV. LOL! I was going to have it mounted on the wall, but my house was built in the 30's and they didn't want to fool with the plaster so I put it on top of the component stand because Dallas is hard to keep off the set. Luckily it works.

I really love to hate this thread. I want one of nearly every breed. My Mia had HUGE feet as a puppy, the vet estimated 90+ lbs and thank god she never grew into them. She is still clumsy at 4+ years. She made to an estimated 65 lbs.

Mike Bowen

We have 2...Tyson is a pure-bred, i think last time we weighed him, he was around 17lbs. Our other is actualy 3/4 rattie and 1/4 aussie shepherd, he is about 12 lbs.

But thats about 16.5lbs of muscle on Tyson, lol. He can outrun just about any dog at the dog park, even whippets and greyhounds. He is a quick little guy.

Also, be ready for the most energetic, crazy dog you have ever met. They have a ridiculous amount of energy.

Yep... she's supposed to be around 70-90 pounds at full growth. Definitely
need to have her trained to a "T".

Awwwww.... We had a Pug for 16 years... Fred. We lost him a few months back, and finally just got Molly.

Here's our Fred in his last months... so sleepy. I know, I'm a dork for making this... but I sent this out to friends and family when he was gone. My husband and kiddos really had a hard time loosing him.. 16 years is a long time.

Hey dog lovers, my dog Canon (also known as Dude by my son) has peed on one spot of the carpet and I cannot get the stink to stop. Any good clues as to what I can do to fix that?... I would carpet-wash the place, but it is not worth for just one spot. I did try the usual sprays and one foam cleaner -generic-. I can still smell it, methinks.

Anyhow. Maybe it is the dog !!... Not sure. My first dog since childhood, so it is given me a whole new perspective. Got this mutt while using him as an excuse to smuggle my camera to the local animal Control Office, to cover a developing story of mauling Pitbulls about three months ago. He was scheduled to spill the beans the next day, and a kind older lady asked me to be responsible and take care of it.

Pic coming up, need to resize.

Very cute photos! The only thing I would suggest is maybe a bit of white balance adjustment (if you shot in RAW, if not, then a smidge of a hue adjustment) to get rid of some of the blue look in the white areas. Of course if that's what you were going for then you're spot on!

She/he is so stinking cute! My vote was for a small dog like that... but the husband always seems to win when it comes to dogs.... :(

So extreme opposite, and we have an American Bulldog that will grow to be around 70-90 pounds... !! No stuffing her into a little purse for a quick road trip.... :(

Its funny you mention that. When we adopted our little guys (a silky and a yorkie, top of page 146), that was one thing they made us agree not to do is stick em in a dog bag for travel.

...of course they never leave our laps when riding in the car, so we're good there!

Hmmm, I also have a silky (or maybe he's another Yorkie). We were told he's a Yorkie but at 20 pounds we suspect he's actually a Silky (they look similar when they are puppies)
Well I can't stop my girlfriend from treating the 5 pound (2.4 kg) Yorkie like a toy/fashion accessory. So he does get to spend some time in air conditioned frou-frou malls.
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3004/2563661733_f513018746.jpg?v=0

To make sure he doesn't become TOO sophisticated, I balance that by taking him to Home Depot to learn about guy stuff.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3138/2571565925_6011e8529e.jpg?v=0

...and so that it isn't all fun and play I do take him to the office to see what 'work' is.

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3105/2564491416_034ef7f25d.jpg?v=0

Because he does share the house with 2 other dogs, he is first and foremost a dog, and socialised as one.

Yup, the dog on the left is most definitely a Silky. They have those sad looking little faces that just scream pet me. Ours it quite docile and lethargic, sleeps most of the day, but wakes up for food times, play times and walk times. Great little dogs, and very loyal to their family.
