Hello, I've just joined this forum. I've recently bought a Canon 400D with the kit lenses. I am very much a beginner and struggling with the technical aspects of photography. Right.... This was the 18th Annual Tompkins Square Park Halloween Dog Parade. Its my third year going to it and my first time shooting it. Every year they put on an awesome show with hundreds of dogs from all over the city.

I would Love to enter my own Dog "Brodie"... but he HATES it when I put any type of outfit on him unless its his collar.

So we're staying at my parents for the Holiday and my mom buys the dogs some toys to play with,

Our beagle, Lucy has this little stuffed lamb that she's been playing with for a few days now and she keeps taunting our pitbull with it.

Well while we're all sitting around talking in the living room, we can hear the pitbull shredding something, but we just figure he's pulling the thread out of his rope that he normally keeps himself occupied with for hours.

Then I look on the other side of the couch to see that he's gotten ahold of Lammy and has tore it to pieces and is in some coma after using up all his adrenaline

apple wars: I've bought my 5 whippets a big box of seconds apples, must be about 15kilos there, enough for all but still they cause tension. Tag in particular thinks they're all his. He's standing guard over them here while his mum Penny tests his nerve by taking one from under his nose. He daren't challenge her, she's the boss but he's not a happy boy.

Sorry for your loss...... I have lost 4 dogs over the past 12 years and it is never gets easier. My last dog, Bayley is 13 and getting old.:(

Argh, I was kicking myself after I shot this because it could've been so much better. The light was good so I shouldn't have had my 135 wide open (f/2), plus that lens on my crop makes for tight shooting in the backyard. My mid-tele would've worked just fine although it doesn't focus nearly as fast.
