Jim, on the other hand is from the other side of the tracks. Jim was born into a family who couldn't afford for him to go away, and needed him to stay at home on the farm and learn the rural ways. Jim will no doubt inherit his father's job of keeping the cattle in line, a job Jim's father inherited from /his/ father.

Still, it is a good honest living in the fresh air, and you get to come into the big-smoke on your days off.

Thanks. Jim was at the local 'country show', and won best pup of show. A dog that was as well behaved as he was cute.

It was an overcast, dark and wet day, the first time I had used the 50mm F1.4 with success.

Phoebe will be 3 in October. I bought her for my wife. We also have 3 German Shepherds and a Boxer. The GSDs were allowed in the house before we bought our farm. When we moved here they became outside dogs and she was lonely in the house. I thought I would hate a small dog, I thought they were stupid because their brains are the size of a walnut. She has turned out to be my favorite dog ever. She is smart and we love her. I will never have another breed in the house. They are a little pricey for the little ones. But...as my sig line states....;)

Well, I have to tell you folks, I don't think any of us have spoiled our dogs enough yet so keep trying. Here's my dog, he's a tad on the spoiled side too. Unfortunately, as I write this, he just got sprayed by a skunk. Nevertheless, he's a good dog, and loves everyone.

I love dogs but live in an apartment and not ready to get one yet. I grew up with them all my life though. I like to see the dogs around my neighborhood though. These two were outside my apartment building while I was doing a video shoot. I had my camera with me so I snapped some shots. Here is the best one.

OK - I've been lurking for a while, but can't resist this. :)
Here are three of my sled dogs - a couple of the girls, Katie and Panda (leaders), and one of Genghis. He's a big, strong wheel dog; wheel dogs run closest to the sled.

I just got my new Rebel EOS XT, and I'm just messing around with it a bit. Unfortunatly, I only have the kit 18-55 lense.

I know it's a little dark, but it's impossible to get her to stay still outside where there is better lighting.

I'm currently dog-less. First time in my life. BUT I'm really, really close with my family and they all have dogs (among other animals).

First is Sampson, our newest addition. He was rescued by Briggs Animal Adoption Center and adopted by my lucky little sister. He's 110lbs of gentle joy.
