Thanks for the compliments. They were both with the 300 2.8LIS. I think exif should be intact. Those are probably the 2 best out of about 50 shots of the two outside. Sadly, it's the first time I've had the opportunity to shoot with the 300 2.8L IS outdoors and below ISO800. DOF is very minimal, even with these guys only filling half the frame or less. Needless to say, there weren't too many keepers, and not many like the two posted.

1."Wanna go for a........." with the blank being anything from walk to car ride
2. " Want a treat?"
3. "Hungry?"

Thats about it, any other time they listen its only because they were bored with what they were doing before you gave a command.

Hey,

Am just starting out in all this photography stuff and was wondering if any of you could give me some advice.

I was trying to capture some photos of some very active little puppies today and had trouble not getting blur or unfocused little puppies.
The light was quite low as was late arvo and as the pups were only 4 weeks old they didn't want me to use the flash to hurt their little eyes.

Any advice?

If you don't have the light, then you are not going to get a sufficiently high shutter speed. In order to increase the shutter speed you could increase the cameras ISO (sensitivity to light), this also increases the noise in the image and may still not give you an acceptable shutter speed (depending on how much light there is).
