I'm using a Canon S9000 printer.

Question: Since all computers use a 4:3 ratio I can't seem to print a true 6 x 4.5 size image onto a 4 x 6 photo paper.
What am I missing? (Besides the boat?) Hehehehe

Thanks!

PS
I don't want to change the aspect ratio, and fit to page doesn't do it either.

Thanks again!

Ha! I have the Canon BJCi9100, and the same thing. This is a matter of standards between the photographic and paper industries. Cameras are 4:3 and paper 3:2. This is particularly annoying with borderless printing.

I researched this issue and find out that you need to basically use a print paper slightely larger 4.5x6 in order to print 4x6 using clipping. Most software will help on this one. You are basically resizing the image proportionally to a slightely bigger size and clipping the extras when printing.

Good luck finding a 4:3 frame for it too!

Have you tried using the _Photo Record_ or
_Easy Photo Print_ software supplied by Canon? I find they work pretty well for printing 4x6" prints in the correct aspect ratio.

Well, yes, you can keep the aspect ratio, but you have the choice of losing part of the photo with borderless printing, having unequal borders on bordered printing, or cropping to get even borders.
