That's a beautiful bird! I'd love to visit Hawaii, as there are a lot of good seabirds there. See any albatrosses?

I didn't see much for wild life there. That's not to say that their wasn't any, but my wife and I simply were not up early enough to see the morning hustle and bustle of birds.

Great shot, it resembles a gannet, but ngannet would have said something. Seems like it should be some kind of booby.

Checked one of my seabirds books and it is a Red-footed Booby (breeding plumage). I recognized the gannet-like face and the lack of nostrils (their nostrils are on the inside of their beaks.) Good call Dennis.

I'd say that the red foot description is spot on.

Unfortuantly that shot is fuzzy!!
You can still see it in the resized picture, but the original is really bad. The feet are the only thing in focus...
