i am new to this, so forgive me if this has already bveen discussed (did not see it in the archives). I installed the PS RAW plugin on a Mac running OS X. I cannot open the CRW files. when i look to see if the plugin is there, it is listed in the about plugin and as an option in the open... dialogue box. the documentation does not list the 10D as a camera supported, which is what i am using. is this the problem? I thought all canon raw were the same. if this doesn't work, can anyone suggest a better option for OS X? Brezzebrowser does not seem to support it. thanks

I think there's a hack for the 10D. Look in the EOSD section on this forum. Not sure is anybody has done this with the Mac...

The 10D is not supported, as Wildman says, you have to hack it.

Mac instructions are here:

thanks for the help. i found another hack that was a bit easier but did essentially the same thing (uses D60 parametrs to decode 10D) there is some concern that this will provide inaccurate colors, but it definetly works. i found it in the digital camera reviews forums. i have to test the ACR plugin against Canon's own and see if i see a difference.

One HUGE difference will be speed! Canon's raw converter is horribly S-L-O-W and you have to wait for it to render the shot after each change. With ACR it is instant. At least this applies to PC'S.
