First one is the best, as always!

You'll love that lens, I know I do.

I think primes really make you 'think' and really help hone your skills. How do you like the 24-105? Any chance of some samples from that? I'm thinking that will be my next buy...

Nick -- Here is a 100% crop from a photo I took today, 1/1300 @ f/4, ISO 200, 58mm focal length.

And here are a couple of full images if you want to look:

I've been shooting natural light photos indoors with impressive results with my Tamron. I've been having to push the ISO a bit higher though for some shots and at F2.8 the Tamron isn't as sharp as it is at F4.

I've been looking at the 50mm 1.4 as my next lens as I've seen sharp pictures even at 1.4 and even better at 1.8.

Looks as if I'm gonna have to tell my wife how wonderful she looks for a few weeks...

The only thing I can think is what all the people were thinking that were watching you at that water fountain with your camera :)

Lots of people came by (we were on a jogging path that goes through Rock Creek Park in Maryland). Most were mildly amused, but one woman got very offended because she "felt awkward asking me for permission to take a drink." Other than that, maybe five or six people needed to have a drink during the hour or so I was at the fountain and they were all very polite about it considering it's a public fountain.

An HOUR? Tisk Tisk, the tree huggers would burn you on a stake for all that priceless water you wasted!

Well, the fountain wasn't running the whole time. My conscience is clear.

Plus, I guarantee I was significantly better armed than any gang of tree huggers in the woods. :)

I think we need a 36 shot perspective of that drinking fountain.

Is that like a 24-gun salute? :)
