About a month ago, there was a post about an 8x teleconverter. I tried searching for it, but couldn't find the post and/or link. Does anyone remember it? Has anyone tried it?

I doubt there is or there will be such a thing. The vigneting will be unacceptable. Maybe you heard about the 2x tc wich in combination with native 4x lenses gives us a 8x zoom.

It exists. I have seen it and test shots, just can't remember the site.

It has been tried as you can see. The problem is that it has to be kept at max zoom, otherwise it vignettes, which is not suprising.

Very neat though....
