Have installed latest version of BreezeBrowser; when I connect the G3 to the computer, it comes up no camera found; usually use a SanDisk card reader to xfer pics and this works great..wanted to use the remote capture feature thru BB...XP knows the camera is there and offers to transfer pix and this also works; my ? is how do I get BreezeB to recognize the camera? have searched previous posts and can't find an answer..Many thanks...Marc

Marc05,
Probably not much help to you, but I had the same problem with Zoombrowser on my new PC which came loaded with Win XP.
ie. When I connect the camera, XP detects the hardware and presents a handful of options, including Zoombrowser. When I selected Zoombrowser I got a message saying there was no camera detected.
I finally decided to check if the version of Zoombrowser loaded was the latest one, since I recalled that I installed my new Canon Printer before the camera software, and the Printer software also had Zoombrowser.
It turned out that it was not the latest version installed, so I uninstalled it and installed the version that came with the G3. That solved the problem.
I guess this tends to suggest there may be a problem with your Breezebrowser. I don't know why but help desks will often suggest uninstalling and then reinstalling software to solve problems, and it sometimes does work. Maybe if no one else comes up with a better suggestion, you could try that.

I had the same problem with my new G3. I had the latest version of ZoomBrowser installed and everytime I connected the camera I'd get the 'Camera not Found' error. I called Canon and they had me uninstall and reinsatall the software to no avail. Then the tech support guy asked me to go into menu mode and under the setup menu there's a heading for 'Communication' at the end of the setup menu. It must be set to 'Normal'. Mine was set to 'PTP' which apparently is for Mac's. As soon as I did that and plugged in the camera everything was fine.
Hope this helps.

I have a feeling this has something to do with microsoft's OS updates. I had the problem on both my win2k machine (fully updated) and my XP machine (fully updated). When i did a full reinstall of XP there has been no problems at all. My machine also runs a whole lot better :)
