Do any of you guys use Macromedia flash? If so, have you ever built a web gallery?
I'm trying to make a gallery, but I'm not sure how to do it, without file size being 900 gig.
Any help is appreciated.

My customers complained they couldn't see my flash gallieries, especially from work, so I went back to plain old html. Given how many people surf the web from work and how many places block flash, I don't see why a pro would use flash, at least without a non-flash version.

I have to say, I hate flash. I'm one of the last people on earth on dialup, and flash takes for-EVER to load up on my computer. Last november I was looking at pro galleries to get an idea of poses for my kids and every single one used flash so I couldn't look at their images (thumbnails usually showed up but they're about 1/2" square on my screen so it did no good-not to mention they were crops). If any pros w/ galleries have a site without flash, post or pm me your url so I can take a look please. I understand pics taking a while to load up but the flash itself just makes it worse.
And please, for the love of all that is good, don't put animations or music on your professional or amateur sites. please.

My photography site is plain jane html. My gallery of photos is on a php based shopping cart system so people can order prints.
www.cdi-ink.com if you want to see what I mean. I sell other things from the store for the time being so it looks kinda cheesy right now. I'll either make some minor changes once it's all photos, or make a new, similiar site for the photos if I decide to keep selling merchandise.
