wow thats an incredible look you've achieved - the posing ain't half shabby either!

mind if I ask how you got that effect from processing??

Those are really nice. I would cut back just ever so slightly on the glow in the second shot. Mostly on her arms. Other than that, I also love the effect, and both poses.

Maybe I could use some miserable weather. ;)

wow, these have the pro look to them.i would also suggest on #2 toning down the glow on her forearms.great work though!

these have a few actions applied to them, midnite sepia, midnite black, I just experimented with opacity and history brush. I know, her arm is blow, the original was really bad. I have also been experiementing with light, more of my placement of the model. I only have natural light as an option.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I for some reason get bored real quick with studio type shots but I also HATE being cold. LOL. I hope spring gets here in a hurry.

great shots lisa, I like them all, softness to it is good as well, i guess you used your nifty 1.4? by the way your airbrushing, did you use a plugin? action? or manual bluring? thanks

These are truly outstanding, Lisa. Minor quibbles have already been addressed, but I would add that (perhaps) the first shot would have been mildly improved by a portrait orientation.

Wonderful shots. I didn't understand the lighting. Is it studio lighting/flash/natural? Wonderful job. MIke

Really fabulous. I'm not normally a fan of these kind of "mood" effects, but you've done an awesome job with an exquisite result.

I don't have a studio yet or anything that slightly resembles it. lol. I was planning on buying some lights but just purchased a magic drainpipe instead.I use natural lighting in my kitchen but have been experimenting on where I am putting my subject. Thank you so much for the encouraging feedback. I have been a bit lazy lately.

Please do. We can all learn together.

Ok I hope this works. I dont use this feature very often. I use these quite a bit but definately play with opacity, and history brush to tweak to taste.

Here is an example of 2 of the actions used over one another. I would love to be able to shoot hockey. Its my "dream". The rebel does not fair so well at 1600 behind dirty glass so I tried to "save" this pic this way. Actions arent for all pics but work nice for some. Hope this attachment works.

These are beautiful Lisa. I remember seeing some of your earlier posts just after you got your camera. Looks like you are learning very quickly. Love the effects/coloring on these... stunning. Definitely for the wall frames! ;)

How do I open the actions folder? Do I need a password? Sorry about the questions, I am trying to learn before I get brave and post!

I love both of your pictures!

First save them. Then open them and put them in the actions folder in Photoshop. I believe its Program Files~Adobe~Photoshop~Presets~Photoshop actions. Please let me know if you have any troubles.

Man those shots are fantastic.

I love the first one.. they have such peaceful, serene looks on their faces and their eyes just... glow almost.
