Pat Green was my second shoot at the Maverick Saloon in Santa Ynez, California. As you can see, even then I was into the tight head shots that I think characterize my work. Pat is unusual in the country music genre in that he is his own man, not controlled by a record label or management company. At a return gig he told me I could sell his pictures all I wanted and that everyone should make money from his work! This is really rare.

Anyway, here are the pictures ... and there isn't a collage! :-)

So, there you go ... coments, critique, reworks, praise, suggestions, reposting are all welcome.

Yeah it is.

There's a guy named Doyle Dykes; probably the finest fingerpicker on the planet. I shot him at a festival last year and, after the show, I asked him if I could post his photos on my website.

He said "Sure; hope you make some money with 'em!"

While I don't sell pictures through my website, it was refreshing to know that everyone's not in it for the money...

He puts on a good show. I say him this year with Gretchen Wilson and Kenny Chesney. I only knew two of his hits before the concert but found that I really like his stuff and on stage personality after seeing the show.

Second is nice. Why did you flash #3 and 4? (and why flash so hard?) light wasn't *that*bad?
(Okay, I see quite some 'hand movement' in #4, so probabely someone dimmed the lights....)

Rene, the light was terrible, so I did some with and some without. I liked the expression on the two with flash ... they are almost trademark for him. The flash is harsh because that's what the Fuji did ... actually it is what I thought I wanted, there being very little ambient light.
