Greetings all,
New to the site - I just found it a few days ago and I must say it's the best Canon-specific site out there.
I've recently purchased a Rebel XT which, of course, cannot use my FD lenses. Just to see if I could do it, though, I rested my Rebel XT body on my Canon Autobellows with a 20mm macrophoto bellows lens. I was able to use manual exposure (30 sec) to obtain the following pictures of a U.S. dime and #8 screw. These surfaces aren't as smooth as I thought they were. The magnification is probably about 5x for each (this lens will do 20x). The setup is a bit impractical, but in a moment of despiration I probably could get away with it.
I'm not sure why, but the color is really off (fluorescent light bulbs). The white balance was set properly, so I hope someone may have information as to why there's a pronouced copper color. It may have something to do with surface on which they were rested - stained wood.
