Looking through some shots for this year and tried a little bit more contrasty BW conversions. Channel mixer heavy on the green and blue channels then two more layers of first screen overlay and then multiply with varying opacity's to give it more contrast. this first one has a little bit more PP with scanlines added for effect.

Thanks for all the comments. I did get carried away with the vignetting on that one. I t was late when I did that one. :-P
The Lego shot was PhotoShop. I love playing with Lagos with my oldest. We have lots of fun.

I really like the images and conversion but I agree with kawter2 on the scan lines.
Nice solution to the high price of housing.

Awesome, I love them, fantastic b&w conversion. The only thing I dont like so much is the lines in the first, but other than that they are perfect.

Congrats:
Great work. Do you have a Lego House at home? Or did you put her in the shot later? You can not ask for better conversions.

Thanks. I don't know what it is with the scan lines that I like. Maybe not the right subject. I guess I like how it sort of emphasize the facial skin tones being smooth...texture contrasting I guess I'd call it. I might have to go back and see what other ways I can tweak it.
I admit, I only agreed to have kids if I get to buy Legos. :-)

Legos are great! Love how you photoshoped the ones in there, and even invasion of the crab is quite funny!
We should have a lego thread! :D

Here is another conversion to BW. My youngest daughter...just over a year old. She's getting quite a bit of coaching for taking photos from her big sister. :-)
